  Brian Birmingham - President and Chief Executive Officer & Director


With more than 20 years experience as a senior executive in the packaging and moulded pulp manufacturing industries, Brian Birmingham has a proven track record in management, technology and venture capital. He was the Founder and President of Impact Packaging, where he headed a team that built the world's largest pulp moulding facility. He was also instrumental in taking several new companies from start-up to commercial development, including building Canada's largest recreational vehicle company. During his impressive career, Brian Birmingham has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of six large companies in both the private and public sectors, and has been a member of the board of directors of three multinational corporations.
 
  Thomas Roberts - Executive Vice President


Thomas Roberts enjoyed a 15-year career with Cascades, a major multi-national packaging and tissue company. For the past five years he held the position of Vice President of Business Development and prior to this he was the Vice President Sales and Marketing for the Moulded Pulp and Plastics Groups, North America. Before joining Cascades he spent 25-years as a Sales Executive for major, multi-nationals such as Abitibi Price, Fort Howard and General Foods in the Retail and Foodservice sectors. Thomas attended the Ecole Superieur de Commerce and the Universite de Neuchatel, Switzerland. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and past chairman (the first Canadian in their 75-year history) of the Foodservice Packaging Institute of Falls Church, Virgina.
 
  Daniel Byrne - Chief Financial Officer & Director


Daniel Byrne brings an impressive track record to the company, having served in leadership roles with start-ups as well as paper manufacturers with $100 million in sales. He was directly involved in building several successful companies, including Merfin International, Statpower/Xantrex Technology and Ballard Power Systems. His background as a CFO includes private companies as well as public companies trading on the Toronto, NASDAQ and Munich exchanges. In addition to his operational and financial experience, he has been intimately involved with merger and acquisition transactions - including five acquisitions and four sales - totaling more than $450 million.
 
  Dr. Björn Nilsson - Chief Technical Officer


A respected scientist in the field of cellulose fibres and fibre network strength, Dr. Nilsson was Chief Scientist and Project Leader at STFI (Swedish Pulp and Paper Research Institute). He also served as Technical Manager at the ASSI Doman paper mill where he oversaw a staff of 40 in the area of process and product development, and oversaw several projects from the idea stage to the commercial development stage in new paper qualities. He holds two patents in the pulp and paper segment and is a former President of IASPM International, a member and Chairman of Technical Committee of Eurokraft, and a Member of Corporate Research Management.
 
  Johan van Bommel - Director of European Sales


Johan van Bommel is a senior manager with over 15-years experience in the international packaging industry. Prior to joining PAKIT he was responsible for the Protective Packaging business in Europe and managing partner for a privately owned Project and Interim management company focusing on Change Management. Johan has been active in the Moulded Fibre Industry in various management positions for multi-national packaging companies such as Van Leer and Huhtamaki. He was educated at the Business University of Groningen where he developed a strong interest in technology, innovation and new product development.
 
  Bill Berndt - Director of North American Sales


Bill has a strong background in moulded fibre packaging. He has spent over eight years with Hartmann, overseeing their sales and marketing activities in North America. Prior to joining Hartmann, he spent twenty years at Pepsi Americas, holding various sales, marketing and senior management positions. He is a graduate of North Eastern Illinois University and holds a Masters Degree in Marketing from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
